New Year’s Eve Double-Feature Decided!

New_years_toastWe gave our Smackdown readers the chance to vote on a selection of ten top New Year's Eve movies and, given that it's getting to that time, we're ready to cough up the results.

The question was:

"You're staying home on December 31st to watch a double-feature.  Which two films that have scenes from New Year's Eve would be most worth seeing?"

You picked one film from 1960 and another from 2001:

  1. The Apartment (29.0%)
  2. Bridget Jones's Diary (25.8%)
  3. The Godfather, Part II (24.2%)
  4. When Harry Met Sally (22.6%)
  5. Ocean's Eleven (21.0%)
  6. Diner (17.7%)
  7. The Poseidon Adventure (11.3%)
  8. Sunset Boulevard (9.7%)
  9. Boogie Nights (9.7%)
  10. 200 Cigarettes (8.1%)

Yes, we know.  That does add up to more than 100%.  Because readers could choose two films, the way the Vizu Polls people do it, that potentially adds up to 200%.

In any case, Happy New Year's to you all, and may 2010 bring us some awesome new films to Smack around good!
